Exclamation Edible Cupcake Wrappers Reduce Waste, Create New Possibilities In Baking

German baking goods brand Dr. Oetker has recently launched a new kind of cupcake wrapper that not only helps reduce waste in the kitchen but also creates a new kind of eating experience. Dr. Oetker’s Edible Wafer Cupcake Cases are baking cases that can be eaten along with the small cake it is baked with. The wafer baking cases are sweet and are 100% bake stable and free-standing, which means they do not have to be baked in a cupcake tray. Bakers can simply use a flat tray when they are baking cupcakes with the edible wafer cases.

Gill Davies, Executive Head of Marketing, Dr. Oetker UK, has this to say about their new product:
The Baking Cases subcategory is underperforming. We are hoping that the introduction of these innovative edible cases will help reignite excitement and novelty into the category.
Consumers are always looking for new innovative ways to present their baking – edible cases will add a new dimension to cupcakes, the perfect accessory to complete their wow factor presentation.
We expect them to be extremely popular and inspire would-be bakers who may be put off by not having the correct tins to start baking in a fun, fuss free way.
The edible baking cases are made of ingredients like corn starch, potato starch, rice starch, vegetable oil, as well as beetroot and black concentrates for the pink baking cases. The food color additive Brilliant Blue CFC makes the blue baking cases.
The Dr. Oetker company was established more than a hundred years ago in Germany. The company has over 400 products, encompassing baking goods, baking mixes, dessert powders, ready desserts, muesli products, frozen pizzas and snacks.
