the heaviness of the cupcake batter mixed with pumpkin puree is the reason pumpkin cupcakes are well suited for toaster oven countertop cooking and the size of the toaster oven determines whether mini cupcakes or full size cupcakes can be made.

How did the pumpkin cupcakes turn out? If you used pans of different shapes and sizes, did you have any trouble with them cooking unevenly? How long did it take in the toaster oven? What kind of frosting did you use? Your improvised cupcake baking techniques are an inspiration to us all!
